He enjoys playing soccer and fetch just as much as he likes scratches under his chin and around his ears. He is so fast and jumps very high when fetching. And, there isn’t a soccer ball that he can’t steal from an opponent. He is so playful that we sometimes find him tossing the ball with his mouth and chasing it around the patio. He’s done well with obedience training learning how to sit, stay, fetch and “leave it”. We are learning to manage some reactivity with “heel” and a prong collar while on walks.

Some of the commands she knows are: sit, stay, down, come, place, shake, beg, high-five. She is incredibly smart and would love to learn more tricks. She is also crate trained, house trained, great on leash, muzzle trained, and treadmill trained. Baylea is extremely athletic and loves going on hikes and practicing agility whether jumping up on a park bench during a walk or running through an at home agility course. Baylea loves puzzles and a great way to give her a mental challenge is scent work. She is highly food motivated and will quickly find any toy with a treat in it so you will have to get creative with your hiding spot.

I’m 9 years old, but you’d never guess it. I’m healthy and still full of energy! I’ve been with my current family for 3 years. Before that I was with a family that was never home, which made me sad because I like a lot of attention, cuddles, fetch time and walks! My current family loves me very much, but they just had a baby, and I’m not dealing with it very well. I would do best in a child-free home, although I do fine when kids visit me. I’m great with other dogs (I even live with another one!), and I’m extremely friendly to every human I met. If you have the time to give me exercise and affection every day, I’m your guy!

You will always have a companion for car rides, walks and family fun. I am very social with people and other dogs but am not good left alone with cats. I really don't want to herd cattle, sheep or goats as it is just not my thing. I love helping with chores and enjoy being outdoors but I will chase off wildlife and cats. I stay away from skunks as much as possible. Never got into chasing balls but will play with one on my own every so often. Give me a squeaky or stuffie and I will dismantle it for you. Love being in the house and always choose the coolest place to sleep. My coat is very thick and since I get so hot I go to the beauty parlor every couple of months in the summer to get clipped. It makes a huge difference in my comfort level. I am house broke, sleep in the bedroom and a good watch dog. I am chipped, on heartworm prevention and have had my shots. I need a home where we do a lot of outside activities such as lots of long walks, hiking, going to the snow or the beach, etc.

She is a very active border collie who needs a lot of attention and patience, as she is reactive. When she was about 3 months old, an older dog charged towards her, causing her to be very wary and fearful of other dogs. She is also very protective and does not like new people as much, as it causes her anxiety. I have worked with trainers in the past to help with her feelings of anxiety around other dogs and people. She definitely needs to have a solid routine with someone who can be consistent with her in regards to her needs and future training in becoming social with others.

Owner Available - Boston is a 2 year old female German Shepherd/ Cattle dog/Pitt mix. She is looking for a new home outside the hustle and bustle of the city, ideally with another dog (or more!). Her favorite activities include fetch, tug, search games, sniff walks, wrestling with dogs, and snuggling with her humans. She loves playing with other dogs and has excellent dog social skills. She has a high working drive and loves to learn new tricks and play games that use her brain.
