Adopted – Treef

Male, ~1 year, 52 lbs

Meet TREEF, a sweet 1 year old boy of 52 pounds with a beautiful rough coat and classic black & white markings.

TREEF is very social with people.  He loves hugs, pets, giving kisses, and hanging out.  His desire to be close includes tactics like standing or walking in front of you – we’re working to gently redirect him as we walk about the house, but you do have to be mindful of his need to be ‘in the way.’  He is very sensitive and gets his feelings hurt easily if he feels he has disappointed you!

TREEF gets along well with his foster BC packmates and loves wrestling, playing games, and exploring the yard.   He has a need to play, explore, chew – typical of such a young dog.  He is food motivated and seeks your approval, both advantageous for positive behavior training.  TREEF isn’t shy about expressing his feelings – if he wants to go out or get his meal, you’ll hear about it!  He is an active, happy, positive and sweet dog.

TREEF travels well, sleeps in or out of his crate all night, is  micro-chipped, neutered, heart worm negative and on preventative, and up to date on vaccinations. If you have an approved Northern California Border Collie Rescue & Adoptions Adoption Application and wish to inquire about Tripp, please email us at Adoptions@norcalbcrescue.org. If you have an approved adoption application with Border Collie Rescue of Northern California let us know and we will request it be forwarded to us for consideration.

TREEF is being fostered in Granite Bay in Placer County, CA.

ADOPTED Tripp

Male, 1 year, 37 lbs

TRIPP MAR 2020

TRIPP is a young rough coat fawn and white male Border collie mix. He is approximately 1 year of age and weighs in at a slim and trim 37 lbs. TRIPP loves to play. He especially enjoyed his time with our 3 month old puppy guest Bear. They would play and wrestle for as long as we allowed it. As Bear has moved on TRIPP now tries to engage our senior Newt and our gal Sissy in play. They will accommodate him only so long but he catches the hint and moves on to chill with foster dad in his office or on the couch. He loves to cuddle and be petted.

TRIPP arrived in our care with a partially amputated foot. He only has two toes left on one of his back paws. Only TRIPP knows how this happened, but he is recovering nicely and is ready for his forever home.  When he walks he uses the partial foot most of the time. When he runs, he tends to pick it up.

TRIPP is crate trained, sleeping quietly all night and is content and calm during down times. He’ll go into his crate willingly (as long as we throw a treat in first). He is both treat and praise motivated. He is also house trained and has not had any accidents in his foster home. TRIPP is a very happy and active boy. He is very energetic, but not over the top. TRIPP is ready to join an active family that wants to include him in all their fun and games.

TRIPP is  micro-chipped, neutered, heart worm negative and on preventative, and up to date on vaccinations.

TRIPP is being fostered in Corning in Tehama County, CA.
