BARON

Male, 3 year, 56 lbs

BARON JUL 2020

Introducing the most lovable adorable companion to be found. BARON.

BARON is a male Border collie Catahoula mix just shy of 3 years of age, approximately 56 pounds.  BARON is a very sweet boy.  He loves to join you in whatever you’re doing and shadow your next move.  He loves to give kisses and curl up in your lap for a nap.

BARON is a very smart; he is curious and loves to explore.  BARON wants to please.  He is food motivated and has mastered some basic commands – sit and come – and he responds well to his name.  He is quickly learning to stay and get down.  BARON walks very well on a lead either alone or in the company of a foster mate.  He is very alert and attentive.

BARON is typical for the border collie breed and Catahoula breed, he is very energetic and is happiest when given a job to do and daily opportunities to exercise.  He loves to run and play chase with his four foster mates. He has discovered the fun of playing with toys and especially enjoys sharing them with his foster mates.  BARON loves playing ball and is learning to retrieve.  He is quick to join his foster mates in alerting his foster Mom of property intruders.

BARON does well in his crate, sleeping through the night. While in foster care he has NOT had an accident in the house.  He has been a very good guest; he is not a digger, nor a chewer nor an excessive barker.

BARON would be happiest with forever parents who have experience with and enjoy the nuances of his breed.  BARON would do well as a single dog with active forever parents, who include him in their daily life and continue to offer him opportunities to learn. BARON would also do well in a home with another companion dog with whom he could learn from, in an environment with space to run and play such as a large backyard or acreage.  BARON’s early life was on a ranch shared with farm animals. While in foster care BARON has enjoyed the company of his active foster mom and four foster mates.

If you’re looking for your next lifelong companion, look no further than this sweet boy BARON.

BARON is  micro-chipped, neutered, heart worm negative and on preventative, and up to date on vaccinations. If you have an approved Northern California Border Collie Rescue & Adoptions Adoption Application and wish to inquire about Tripp, please email us at Adoptions@norcalbcrescue.org. If you have an approved adoption application with Border Collie Rescue of Northern California let us know and we will request it be forwarded to us for consideration.

BARON is being fostered in Rancho Cordova in Sacramento County, CA.
