ADOPTED Elvis

Male, 1 1/2 – 2 Years, 38 lbs

Meet our colorful boy ELVIS. To call him “Tri” is understating things as he is made up of a myriad of colors including blue eyes, a beautiful reddish brown body, a black spot on top of his head plus white and lighter brown all over. ELVIS is approximately 1 ½ to 2 years of age and 38 lbs of active love and fun. ELVIS sits on command (and often before asked) when he wants loving and treats. He has learned “crate” as well. Training should be fun and rewarding as he is both praise and treat motivated.

ELVIS loves people. He sometimes is a bit too loving of attention and will jump up on people (and counters) or crowd you on the couch. We are discouraging all, but care will need to be shown around small children. Caution will also be the order of the day with smaller animals, including dogs and cats. ELVIS pays a bit too much attention to them though can be distracted away if one is paying attention. He does get along very well with dogs closer to his own size. He loves to play and run with our Newt and Sissy and is the fastest of the group. They accepted him very quickly.

ELVIS is crate trained. He is getting better at sleeping quietly through the night. If the cat rolls by his crate, or one of our houseguests (dog sitting) starts crying, he will bark to be sure we know someone needs attention. He is also house trained and has not had any accidents in his foster home. ELVIS is a very happy and active boy. He is very energetic, but not over the top. He will chase a ball but looks at it more as a toy to flip around, pick up again and eventually leave for something else moving (another ball, a dog, a person). He wants to be where the action is taking place. ELVIS is ready to join an active family that wants to include him in all their fun and games.

ELVIS is  micro-chipped, neutered, heart worm negative and on preventative, and up to date on vaccinations. If you have an approved Northern California Border Collie Rescue & Adoptions Adoption Application and wish to inquire about ELVIS, please email us at Adoptions@norcalbcrescue.org. If you have an approved adoption application with Border Collie Rescue of Northern California let us know and we will request it be forwarded to us for consideration.

ELVIS is being fostered in Corning in Tehama County, CA.
